In Reply To #1 The Eagles really flopped in their running game. McNabb was forced to throw most of the time, which gave him a lot of passing yards, but 3 interceptions and a couple other close calls. You could really see the difference between the quarterbacks. Brady was really active in calling out the Eagles defense, used his eyes to lead on the Eagles, made many tight passes and no interceptions, though one fumble. McNabb must have been nervous to make so many poor passes but I wouldn't be surprised if they come back next year and he takes them all the way. TO did make a great showing, probably better than most expected. LOL now they're playing star wars before presenting the trophy.

In Reply To #3 Yeah, I'm glad they didn't give it to Brady again. Speaking of Caddys, I wouldn't mind having one of those new ones. When it comes to American cars, Lincolns are comfortable but are as far from sporty as you can get, but that STS Cadillac kicks butt. Hopefully they'll break out of that "grandpa" segment with these 3 cars under 5 seconds. Oops, this is getting off topic. Well, I'm willing to bet at least one of those Patriots players own an Escalade ;) By the way, I've admitted to being an anti-eagles fan, but you have to give them credit for playing a great superbowl game. The tv ratings must have done very well. It was down to the wire! I've also always respected McNabb. He's a great guy and you never see him act out in stupidity, get pissed off or showboat. I blame my hatred on the Eagles fans :), besides that fact that I've been a life long Giants fan.

In Reply To #1 I disagree. My team the Dolphins had no problems with them this year. So I say the Dolphins are the best team this year. Or was that 1972? anyways congrats to the Pats, I hate them, but good season... KMB

In Reply To #4 The TV ratings were actually down from last years Superbowl. Last years game was one of the best in the last five years, I thought. This years could of been to the last second, but the Eagles were out of the game by the last 3 minutes or so.

The Pats are a Dynasty. It is not a fluke when you win 3 out of 4. This year we proved without a doubt that we are the best. We beat the best offense (Colts) we beat the best Defense (Steelers) and we beat the eagles who are arguably the second best team of the last five years. We are the best. I am excited fro next year. Anything can happen.

In Reply To #8 Dippy: Well said. What makes the Pats so great is their ability to adjust to their opponent. They can win 9-6 or they can outslug an offensive powerhouse and win 38-35. We've seen both on many occasions. The Patriots truly are great and it will be hard to beat the recent success the city of Boston is experiencing right now. Don't forget this time, it may NEVER happen again. GO SOX, PATS, CELTS (gotta have one shitty team) BC EAGLES, BRUINS (uhhh... they're tied for first)

Ok. Now I am worried. We let Ty Law go and I said to myself "we'll be ok" Both of our offensive and defensive coaches are gone and I tell myself "We can still do this" The we let troy brown go and I begin to break down "What the F, who is going to play next year?" Now Andruzzi is gone to Cleaveland. Not to mention the questionability of Bruschi for ever playing again. Now it is hard enough to win a super bowl let alone 3 in a row. I thought that we would be able to do the three-peat but now I am not so sure. I mean sure we have dillon, brady, and the best kicker on the planet, but What are we going to do next year?

In Reply To #10 Remember they essentially won this last superbowl without Ty Law. We was a non factor. Anyways, they have traded a third round pick to Arizona for Duane Starks, a very talented, yet often injured corner (sounds like Ty Law to me...) He should start opposite Asante Samuel, with Wilson and Harrison still as the safties. And, lets be honest, as much as we all truly like Troy Brown, hell he's Mr. Patriot to me, his skills have diminished quite a bit. So much so he was more of a nickel guy than a receiver. WIth that said I'd be shocked if they didn't work something out and bring him back at a lesser salary. Bruschi is worrisome but I think they've got very good depth in that spot (not another Bruschi, but depth). They'll have to focus on a couple of areas in the draft and hopefully shore those up. Have faith my friend, Professor Belichik always finds a way ;) PS Heard the Pats actually made a higher offer to Mason, but that his wife wanted to live in the Baltimore area. Seems they may be after a receiver. Plaxico??? Just a thought... Keep up the good posts. This message was edited by southerncoronas at 3/3/2005 4:34:58 PM.
