Was gifted a beer of the month club membership in my early days of starting to like beer.... Got me to expand into more styles, just ahead of getting into the geekier side of beer: beerpal ratings one of those.... the rest was history, and with a great liquor store in my area, I didn't need a club membership to continue expanding once I got started. Pretty cool way to start, imo.

I've never been, but a oar friend is in one. We've had some nice stuff, and an equal amount of stinkers. They are usually interesting beers at the very least, though...

I do not mind paying the high prices for The Ola Dubh ales. They are all worth it for me; like buying premium Bourbon.

Agreed. Not something I can afford to get as often as I'd like, but all of them are very good, a couple of em world beaters. I'll be keeping an eye out for the newb.

$16 for 11oz? Ouch. Woodford's Reserve (one of the better bourbons) is $60 for 60 oz. I think I'd rather buy the bourbon. It will keep longer than a single bottle. But I'm sure that Harviestoun is awesome.

Doesn't seem to be in Reno, at least not at the usual places... I'll have to take a peak next time we're in Cali.

I bought my bottle at Belmont Party Supply in Dayton, OH in July. They had just stocked them at that time. It was happenstance that I found mine, and I pounced on that bad boy.
