I'm on record here and elsewhere as having a heck of a lot of respect and admiration for the guy. Happy for him.

While I get giving the AL MOY to Francona, I still say Farrell deserved it more. He took a very dysfunctional, last place team to the WS, and won it.

A little bit of misinformation in the article (having spent 7 years working on the MolsonCoors merger and MillerCoors creation from a banking analyst perspective) 1) AB-InBev would be 'buying' SABMiller without the 'Miller' US Portfolio. It would not be a merger by any stretch of the imagination. 2) The deal has been in the works since around the time that Inbev bought AB 3) To appease American regulators a few years ago, The Miller US portfolio was merged with the MolsonCoors US portfolio (a union thing) in an effort to protect American jobs. 4) There is still concern among American regulators that MolsonMillerCoors and AB-InBev-SAB would be a worse monopoly situation than the present day AB-InBev and MillerCoors (even though both sides have shown that the percentage of the market that the 'new pair' would hold is the same as the 'present companies' hold now) In order for the deal to get done Currently the American market is divvied up as such 1) AB-InBev 2) MillerCoors (an LLC venture between MolsonCoors and SABMiller for the American portfolio of each brewer) 3)SABMiller (basically the import arm as MillerCoors controls the US brands) 4) Heineken/S&N 5) Carlsberg 6) Everybody else Under the proposed deal............ SABMiller would give up control of MillerCoors to MolsonCoors (Molson Breweries and Miller already have a 30 year existing relationship in Canada for Miller products) and the import brands would go to AB-InBev-SAB So the new divvy would be 1) AB-InBev-SAB 2) MolsonCoorsMiller 3) Heineken/S&N 4) Carlsberg 5) All Others #3 currently doesn't brew beer in the US (it's the SABMiller brands not brewed in the US) and the portfolio would 'simply' move from being a standalone #3 to AB-InBev-SAB. Outside the US and Canada, AB-InBev-SAB would own all the rights to the current SABMiller portfolio as they do today. So, Currently, from a union perspective #1 and #2 would control the same amount of the brewing market as before (#3, #4, and #5 brew miniscule amounts in America) which was the requirement of the MillerCoors creation (MolsonCoors is an anomaly............Americans consider it a Canadian company, and Canadians consider it an American company........57% of the shareholders are Canadian, 78% of the beer is American - so we'll call it a wash). That union perspective would stay the same. The US currently has laws in place that prevent the brewing jobs from leaving the country so if such a deal comes to fruition, there should be no negative impact (save for the negative impact that the craft industry is putting on the big boys now) on those jobs. As an aside, there are several reports that have been published would have suggested that the consolidation in the beer industry, while increasing efficiencies and benefitting shareholders, has done little to increase their production from pre-merger states. In fact, all MolsonCoors increased production between 2005 and 2011 was due to the purchasing of brands/breweries (the convoluted mess known as AB-Inbev is harder to follow but AB itself brewed less beer in America in 2011 than they did in 2007. So, while a combination of AB-InBev and SABMiller would be great for AB-InBev shareholders, it isn't something that will stop the craft brewing uprising in its tracks.

Beer and Wine Industry have a great contribution in the economy. An export and Import sector helps to overcome financial crisis. However, some consumers of alcohol don’t know the harm it can give to their health. It has everything to do with higher costs, rather than consumption. You should use a short term loan (spam link removed by admin, but text left for amusement) whenever you are struggling to pay the bills.

LOL...and here all along health-nuts and scientists always said it was the empty calories that made you gain weight....now we know and the gig is up! Get a loan to combat those pesky health issues.
