Welcome to the site Kaitlyn! I see on your first day here you are pimping glassware. This is a free community of beer lovers and enthusiasts. We rate beers, have a forum for discussion, and even a joke section! But this is not a site that can be used for your own personal gain with no effort to be part of the community. You seem clueless as to how marketing works. Here try this link to figure out how to market online! http://www.google.com/ads/learn/market-online.html Dropping spam on beer sites is not the way to do it. You will receive similar reactions like this on most of the other beer site forums. Actually it probably won't be this nice. Cheers! [}:)]

Half of this post doesn't even make sense. The other half is full of errant English. Both make me want a personalized pint glass BADLY.

Wait, so why do I need a personalized, outdated relic? Why would I continue to subject myself to such antiquated torture when I could just pour my beer into a....um...boot? Insulting your customer base for buying what you're selling is a much bigger marketing problem than posting on a site like this.

I have pretty shitty taste in movies, but I dove right into Seven Samurai the first time I saw it play on AMC. I think it was the first real classic that I ever saw. Maybe it was because I was honed on plenty of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? [:D] As for the list, this is the first times I've seen an outside website just basically take the ratings as is. Where's the opinionated reporting that I can sink my teeth into? I feel so disarmed.

Key questions for me that are partly acknowledged in the original study itself regarding "experience" being indicative of an acquired taste: * Does this say anything about individual expertise or is it just a discovery regarding learned behaviors of those raters, that they adopt the norms of the community as they rate more, even some of the biases? * It doesn't really support an "acquired" taste hypothesis. Lagers are less liked by novices just as with experts. The difference is just exaggerated for experts. The opposite is true for the sexy beers. I think this is a function of your range being better understood, knowing how to give a low rating, having a better appreciation across the scale. Nice read, though. And, a heck of a list of good beers when all said and done. But I didn't see the link between the final list and the study itself? Did they just filter Ratebeer's list using a threashold of # of reviews to declare "experts"?

That's pretty much how it looked to me.

The resultant list is pretty good, but I'm always bothered when we call online raters of anything "experts." "A general concensus of beer enthusiasts says these beers are the best in the world" would have been more accurate. And now I have a thirsty.
