Lots of people are attracted more atractive, flashy beers that are barrell aged, and contain some weird ingredient, or are brewed in far away places.... This is a solid beer any day of the week. Sierra Nevada always reminds me how lucky we are in CA to consider them homegrown.

Well they ain't barrel aged or flashy, but give me Deschutes, Anchor, or a Ballast Point off the local shelves first. Or Founders & Bells in the east. I too like Sierra Nevada, but their classic line isn't my favorite.

Haven't had their porter in years, but do remember thinking it was average at best. Around here Thirsty Dog Old Leghumber & Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald rule the roost.
