New Years Eve / Day

General Beer Discussion by KINGER

Took the family to a friends house for a small party last night, didn't have a drop except for the champagne toast. Currently sipping on a bottle of New Glarus Serendipity graciously provided a while back from heybeerman. Went great with our New Years day lunch. Will be cracking open some bottles throughout the day and into the evening. What did everybody enjoy last night and/or what is on the beer menu for today?

Since NY Eve carried hours well into NY day... I guess you can chalk up my Chimay White, Flying Dog Kujo, and SN Celebration Ale taps as NY's beers.... But the turn to Vodka and Single Malt Scotch out at the fire pit.... had me pour the rest of those bottles last night. Done w/ hard liquor. Too easy to irresponsibly consume.... Beer is much easier to responsibly consume and self-regulating. The perfect beverage.

Of course you're done with hard liquor. Everybody feels that way the morning after they drink a bunch of beer and top it off with booze at the end. It never ends well for anyone. Yet, some of us forget and do it anyway the next time.

I did it on Friday (cognac). And again yesterday (bourbon). [;)] Just a little of the hard stuff, though.
