article on breweries on the bubble

General Beer Discussion by STOUTLOVER72

http://local.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=33395122 A really nice article on a pretty wide open brewery landscape. Kudos to the author for doing their homework.

Jester King is the one that Suds is always on about, right? ...and the Bruery is real nice.

Thanks for sharing, Stout. If I had to pick one of my favorite breweries right now in Portland, Upright would be in the top 3. Nice to see Revolution in that last as well.

The Bruery continues to blow my mind (and to think I was slow to come around because I wasn't LOVING a couple of their easiest-to-get beers). They make absolutely THE most diverse array of sours in the brewing world. I didn't think one place could make so many sour beers that taste so different. Every single one. Just amazing!

This is a great article that I missed a few weeks back, with some serious potential heavyweights. Thanks for posting! Hill Farmstead... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't rooting for these guys hardcore as a UVM guy, but damn their stuff is mindblowing. Lucked out and came across a sixtel of Edward here in western PA - seriously amazing APA. I have a bottle of Damon coming my way that I'll report back on. Pretty things, too - very small gypsy brewery out of Cambridge with a lot of old style English ales that are super tasty. I seek out their regulars if they show up at my local shop. And of course, little needs to be said about Bruery/Cigar City. They're churning out some marvelous products. I gotta get my hands on a Black Tuesday to sample.
