Mississippi has changed it's law

General Beer Discussion by BIGMANNE

i know there are only a few Mississippians on here but, we finally will be able to buy some great beers in this state. what changed with the law is before we were limited to 5% by weight. now will will be allowed 8% by weight which is close to 10+% ABV. yaaaayyyy beer

That's awesome. Baby steps, but to think that there are still limits on beer boggles the mind a little.

Congratulations. Iowa got rid of it's 6.2% cap just a couple of years ago. Nice to be able to get barleywines, impy stouts and IIPA's from the locals. [:)]

I agree..........why people put a cap on beer ABV but still allow the sale of 80 proof rum, scotch, etc confounds me......only in America........

I'm a-doin' the Happy Dance for Mississippi! For far too long that state has sucked in the beer department. I hope that soon there will be more good craft brews in the Magnolia State.
