rules for tv

Non-Beer Discussion by MATTFUNGUS

Just watched the Mentalist and I am totally bored because of one my Favorite Rules of Predictable TV If there is a detective show, the first person you meet in the episode that seems "not guilty" is the one who is the killer. It applied last night to CSI as well. What are some of your Rules of Predictable TV?

Every single situation comedy - The dad character is barely functional and married to a woman that is out of his league. He also gets in wacky situations that are covered up with lying and he will eventually get caught in the scheme in an embarrassing way.
Yeah... TV sucks. I rememeber when they actually used to put history on the History Channel, too.
...and music still on MTV.... Actually, there are some funny shows. Archer, The League (fits my predictable pattern), Curb Your Enthusiasm (kind of fits my pattern), Modern Family (fits my predictable pattern), American Dad (kind of fits my pattern), Community, Workaholics...

Ya and when they put learning on the learning channel, things like that. It makes me wonder sometimes if the way we use our language anylonger has antyhing to do with what we are speaking. There is a subdivision of McMansions in my city called "orchards walk". Though there was once a very productive fruit orchard there at one time, there is no longer any fruit bearing trees. Also they didn't bother to install sidewalks and no one really walks there. Hmm...

and on star trek the original series, if they show the guys hands going down the transporter device, then that person will make it.... however if the never show the hands and only show him behind the transport device, that person is toast.
