Main thing, the Cherokees were/are in the Appalachians and the region. The Cherokee were woodland and did not hunt buffalo. They were farmers, traders and hunters, not warriors, a peaceful and civilized tribe. They look(ed) like this: NOT like this; these are Great Plains Native Americans. THEY wore the huge feathered headdresses and rode horses, hunted buffalo, and were the tribes depicted in you standard Cowboy and Indian movies: They good folks at Smoky Mountain Brewery could have done a little homework and Honored my forefathers with at least a proper representation of Cherokee plus it would have been nice to ask the Eastern Band of Cherokee in North Carolina for permission; could've created some good will. It would like labeling a German Bock with this: or Yes, the Native American "Irish" Ale is stupid but a Red or Amber Ale is understandable, but is really is probably best not to associate ANY Indigenous peoples or tribes with alcohol considering the devestaion booze wreaked on their culture. OK, I've cleared the air on that...

Right on. I am also of Cherokee descent from my mother's side. Time to write a strongly worded letter.
