I LOVE me some heat, especially on wings. I really dug the Six Rivers brew, but it was so hot in the throat that after the awesome aroma it became a one trick pony. This is a great example of all 3's (or 4's, or any other score) not being created equal. My score (a 3.3) would indicate this was an average beer, and it most definitely was not. I'd have to think long and hard about what my favorite chili beer is (the Vixen was nice but needed more cowbell...er...pepper). I'd love to one dat try a ghost pepper brew.

I love and appreciate quality pepper beers. Six Rivers makes one of the best I've had. Steve from Valley Brew used to make a rauchbier with chipotle peppers that was freakin sublime. I guess I'm in the minority when I say the hotter the better.

First I thought this was a beer that was named for an elevator haunted by dead scorpions. Then I thought Elevator Ghost was the name of the brewery, which sounded awesome. Then I thought maybe Ghost Scorpion was the name of the beer, which sounded equally awesome. Now I think my brain plays too many games with words and I need to stop reading so much James Joyce. By the way, the beer sounds pretty interesting, but not nearly as interesting as a spook-filled dumb waiter.
