Poll: Mixing beers

Poll Discussion by CLASH

Do you ever mix two different beers together? (ex Black and Tans) -No way! I'm a Purist -I've thought about it, but I'm scared -I've done this before, but it's not for me -I've done this before, and liked a few -I do it all the time....mix it up! Do you ever get creative and play bartender with your beers? Or is this blasphemy to you?

Meh... not my thing, although depending on the pub and selections, I probably still end up doing this once every two years.

Nah...the only mixed beers I have consumed were mixed and bottled by the brewer. I've never tried to mix beers due to my *impeccable luck and talent* with all things culinary.

yeah, but not too often...there's another forum somewhere...stuff like a Smoked Indian (smoked porter and IPA) are quite good. not always better than their parts, but a change of pace.

Yeah I tried this years ago before Black IPAs were popular, which is basically what it becomes. Stone IPA and Stone Smoked Porter was quite good!

The old Guinness and Bass did little for me. In my early days of beer I enjoyed a Newcastle and Guinness (Black Castle), not so much anymore. The one I really liked, a drunk experiment was the "Ten Foody" (Oskar Blues Ten Fidy and Bigfoot both on tap) I can see people cringing now but it was very good!

Just a few nights ago I had a Blacksmith (Guinness & Smithwick's) - and occassional thing for me to mix beers.

I rarely mix any more. Do like to combine a pumpkin beer with a porter or stout during the Autumn season once in a while, but that's about it these days.

Haven't tried that yet. Will this year. Wait! I guess I can NOW since Sam has already released the Harvest Collection. Maybe I'll do a Smoky Pumpkin Porter mix.[:)] Actually that sound really good.[:p]
