I've been chalking up the low reviews to the fact that craft beer drinkers don't typically love the style to begin with... it's a fairly bland style. Personally, I thought it was excellent, and I hadn't thought about it before but you're right about the summerfest comparison, there's definitely a similarity there. Hard to put my finger on it, but there's a yeasty, maybe even slightly minerally character to both the summerfest and the cali common that I really dig.

I've seen it a few times...$18-20, nowhere near $11! Still "cheap" beer relatively, even at $20 for 12, and worth every penny. Not too impressed with the Cali Common, but it's ok...

If any of these beers are over 6.2% abv they will not be in TN stores unfortunately. [:(]

All nice beers for sure, I enjoyed them all. A little pricey @ $19.00 a 12 pack but not that bad, I would get another if I could.

$20 around here All very solid brews: The Juniper Black is phenomenal heads and tails above the others Weizenbock is very nice Cali Common is spot on, although a bit high in abv and it shows through IIPA is a bitter monster and very dry, but there's something in there that keeps throwing me off.
I put my rating under here assuming it's the one http://www.beerpal.com/Sierra-Nevada-Ghidorah-Beer/43065/3323 Honestly each of these four should be named "Sierra Nevada Beer Camp (enter style on bottle here)" , but for some reason the IIPA and Cali Common have names not found anywhere on the the pack I picked up.

Is there a listing for the Double IPA in the database? I eventually found the CA Common, and I see the Juniper Black Ale, but I don't see where the double IPA should be. It must be right in front of me, but I just don't see it.
Thanks...I thought they should have beer camp names too. There is one beer camp beer, but it is not from this series.

Sierra Nevada kinda went and muddied the waters a little bit with their Beer Camp beers. Initially, the idea was the beers would be made for their Chico taphouse production and/or kegs sales/beerfests. Once word spread abotut the beers, bottling the product was the next logical step. They sell the beer at the taphouse and to other locations with the name given (in the case of the Beer Camp IIPA, they sell it as Ghidorah, not BC#29 except in the bottles/12-pack). Sierra Nevada Beer Camp #29 IIPA / Ghidorah is clunky, but covers all the search bases. The idea is to have the beers go by the name that Sierra Nevada calls it on their website/taphouse list, with a mention of the Beer Camp number in the description.
