That's how long it took my laptop to die after the 1 year warranty expired. Wtf! The screen fizzled out and then it totally shut down. I let it sit for a day and it is completely unresponsive other than the plug light illuminating when I plug it in. Must be the motherboard or something not related to the hard disk. This blows. I wont be working on BP for a while.

Toshiba Satellite A505. I opened up what I could and didn't see anything fried or suspicious, but I couldn't see most of the guts without really tearing it apart. Toshiba can send me a box to ship it to their repair depot or I might bring it to the Best Buy down the street and see what they can do. This is more complicated for me because I'm not home, but I'm moving back in a few weeks.
