The joy of painting

Non-Beer Discussion by FLASHPRO

Who remembers Bob Ross? I remember as a kid I'd be flipping channels on TV, and whenever I landed on PBS with this guy it was like you were trapped by his nutty calm techniques. "Let's put a happy little tree here." LOL. Maybe Osama would have turned out differently if he tried painting!

Yes, he died of lymphoma on the Fourth of July in 1995. He did 31 seasons of the painting show. I remember trying to paint like him once when I was maybe 10 years old. He could make a whole landscape in 20 minutes, but I ended up with a canvas of crap in an hour!
I still see his show pop up every once in a while on PBS and I still say to myself at the end, "That's fucking amazing! How did he make it look like that?"

Maybe Hitler should have pushed that painting career a little bit harder.
Maybe Barack O-BOOB-ma wouldn't have been the worst president in the history of AMERICA if he had Bob Ross as his Vice President! "Let's put a happy little war over here." [:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][}:)][;)][:(!][:0][:p][:)][8][}:)][8][:(!][xx(][;)][;)][8D]

I despise the Three Stooges, so that probably explains why Bob Ross does NOTHING for me. I'm convinced this is a MAJOR difference between men & women. I don't know very many chicks that get into the whole Three Stooges thing, so there's probably not many gals digging on Bob Ross, either.

That's okay. We have the Three Stooges and Bob Ross. You have Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Phil. We win.
