Hello Everyone--how can we liven up The Beer Brain???
General Beer Discussion by SURFSLEEZ
I realize that it's August, but this section of beerpal is about one step away from completely dead! I'm sure Flash and Admin underlings would not be perturbed if we could get it going...SUGGESTIONS?

In Reply To #1 This isn't really a chat forum. It's just a place where Flash posts some of the more "interesting" questions he gets from the "Ask the Beer Brain" feature on our site's home page. But you knew all that, right? So why so dead? I suspect Flash has been busy with the finishing touches on our new and improved site--too busy to troll through the Beer Brain "in box" for a good question we can kick around. But I'm all for lively. So, what did you have in mind? What kind of liveliness is missing in the other chat rooms that you think might fit here? How about beer trivia?

In Reply To #1 In response to your initial post, I think, fun, more generalized questions could be asked to involve more people. Some of the sophisticated, beer guru questions/information is interesting, but doesn't always involve a high population of beerpal members.

In Reply To #4 Geez, not too lively is an understatement. Howabout planning local get-togethers? Thats fun. Sometimes at someone's house, other times at a brewpub or something.

In Reply To #5 I'd be game to meet up at a brewpub or bar sometime. Obviously depending on the location, I'm not doing any extensive traveling here :)
In Reply To #6 Go on a road trip March 26th. Some members of BA, and RB will be at Willimantic Brewing Co. I'll be there as well, around noon. Let's get some BP representation there! (times like these I wish those BP T-shirts were ready....) Read my reviews, some of the best beers I've ever had were at Willibrew. And about a week before the gathering, the brewmaster is putting on a Whiskey Cask aged Raison Old Ale. It should be spectacular. Hopefully he'll still have some IPA 2005 left too, one of the best IPAs I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.
