I think it's fine... it's a statue, therefore an art form. While I do believe the female body is also an art form, it is not an art form that my bosses like to see at work. Statue = good, human body = not good. Also, me and the rest of the crew are not going to approve every picture someone wants to use. We are all big boys and girls here and have discretion on what is and is not acceptable. This is becoming more and more a task, and I just like to enjoy beer. I like to drink beer, review it, and I also like to talk about beer, and only beer in the forums that are labeled as such. I rarely use the Non Beer forum, because I BS in real life and don't do it so much online. Non Beer is also where topics on the weather belong. I know whats going on outside, I don't need to read about it in the Beer Chat forum. Now Oktoberfest beers, I love em and can't wait. Matter of fact the next case I buy is going to be an Oktoberfest.

P.S. See I even kept this rant on topic!
Oh Yeah, and if you don't like anything i've said here, or anything I or anyone else has said, then beermail that person directly. Don't air your dirty laundry out in public.

In Reply To #7 Funny stuff... I'll end it there because some might view it as "dirty laundry" Why do you want that picture anyways? If you're going to test the strict, somewhat ridiculous boundaries in here, make it worth it! Just my opinion.

In Reply To #3 E, Did you copy and paste that response? Seems I've see that very one on several occasions...
In Reply To #13 "I rarely use the Non Beer forum, because I BS in real life and don't do it so much online." Maybe this explains why you didn't give us any feedback on the Phish concert, eh? Hope you made it and had a good time. There's a spot on the Non-Beer site for your review, if you're so inclined. I for one would not consider it BS. "Statue = good, human body = not good" What about PICTURES of the human body? Just kidding, E! I support your stand on nudity, for much the same reason: I like to hit BeerPal from my workstation (I need lots of coffee breaks), and the last thing I want is for any of my bosses or coworkers to see a beautiful nude woman on my screen and get the wrong impression. And as for Oktoberfest biers--too early! March + 6 months = September at the earliest! Why call it Oktoberfest if it's not? Tasty Vienna Lagers like Negra Modelo are brewed and enjoyed all year long. Even though Oktoberfest is the same basic recipe, bier called Oktoberfest should be brewed in Maerz, lagered for 6 months, and served only after the first "official" keg is tapped in Bavaria. [End of Oktoberfest Bier rant].
In Reply To #15 And speaking of LAUNDRY... Our word mannikin, meaning anatomical model for displaying soon-to-be laundry at your local Abercrombie & Fitch, is the same as the Dutch and Flemmish word, manneken. After the statue was unveiled, but before it was named, someone secretly "dressed" it in a tiny, custom-made outfit--not to cover it, but as as a joke. City officials removed the outfit, but soon another appeared. Over time, there have been hundreds of outfits. Manneken Policeman, Manneken Soccer Player, Manneken Sailor, Manneken Astrophysicist, etc. Recognizing a good thing, the city opened a little museum right around the corner from the statue. I think there are over 200 outfits on display there.
