Faber is gonna get murdered in a couple of weeks... can't wait!

I watched last weekend, a card that was billed as the best of all-time, yada yada yada...and at the end of the day, it just wasn't that great. In the best fight, the guy that everyone (but the judges apparently)thought lost won unanimously. Ortiz v. Griffin...fairly slow, fought to a draw. Another guy crumpled after being hit in the gut. Once. Another fell, akwardly I guess, cause 1 take-down and that fight was over. Anerson Silva fight - stopped too quickly. All in all, kind of a letdown given all the hype, and the fact that half the fights (and both big ones) were PPV.

Not a huge fan of MMA, but I do like Gina Carano.

I don't care about MMA, but I almost fell out of my chair when I saw a thread created by E.

I got a pair of gym shorts for $3 that had the letters MMA on them and had no clue what they were until my wife clued me in (she's the sports fan, though knows MMA only through commercials on ESPN) If you had asked me about mixed martial arts I would have said, "You mean like Mortal Combat where the ninja guy fights the movie stunt man guy?"

nope, griffin had more strikes, everything.. slowed after the 1st, both are getting old but ortiz gassed quicker and lost fair.

Isn't it a lot like Wrasslin'? You know, men all sweated up grapplin' and groping each other then beating the shit out of each other? Modern day gladiators or schtick? Yeah, they do beat the shit out of each other but I'm really not into that unless it involves SEC Football.
