Worst Band Ever -- Your Opinion

Non-Beer Discussion by OIZNOP

No video here...Just want to know who you think the worst band ever is. Anyone ever hear of Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies? These guys are nothing but effing hideous noise on wheels! And there is a story behind this. Last year, our incompetant local Pittsburgh baseball organization screwed up yet again (big surprise there) by booking these jabronies to perform at a fireworks night promotion. In front of familys with kids! The Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies completely desecrated a bunch of classic rock songs at top volume while the fireworks display was going on. At the end of the "perfomance," they were booed off the stage! In their arrogance, the one band member was quoted as saying "Hey, we're a punk band! We always get booed off the stage!" Totally unreal!

That depends what you consider Black Metal.Burzum? Crap. You are right alot of Black Metal bands do suck. Same goes for Deathmetal. There are also some good ones as well but they are usually not strictly old school black/death metal but some variation of. Having influences of symphonic/industrial or gothic.

From time to time, I decide to grab a beer I cellared and forgot (and review). This St. Bernardus Abt 12 has a best before date of 28 04 10 (so 4 years over). Smells with loads of nuts (mostly pecans), wood and dark fruits. Flavours of the fruits and caramel. So, still holds up after expiring the best before date. I still think that this brew is better overall than the No. 1 Westvleteren 12. Now, let try the Rochefort 10... if I can find one in the cellar.

Almost 7 years since I started this thread. The St. B 12 has definitely held up as my personal favourite and it's finally available year round here (albeit in 750ml bottles) but I have had the Westy 12 several times now and it's pretty good.....as is the Rochefort 10 and the La Trappe Quad. Now, if I could only get the Achel Extra more often...........

7 years, but never too dull :P Yes, weird how the LCBO had the 750ml bottles and on the Quebec side, small bottles only. BTW, never found a Rochefort 10 in my cellar (had many 8th instead). I love doing these outdated talks on these specific beers I forgot in my cellar... and hope you like them as well.

I've had much more Rochefort and St B 12 than Westy, both old and newish, but I like em in this order Roch 10 Westy 12 St B 12 Not a hater, it just didn't do it for me. Even went head to head once and Rochefort was the clear winner.
