General Beer Discussion by STALEYIV
Okay, I am watching this beer on ebay and it is a 750ml. The seller seems to not know barleywines age well. I think I know the answer to this question but other opinions would be nice. Will this beer age well because the seller says it is old but he has cellared it since 2002 and he recommends that it NOT BE DRANK because of the age. Should I buy this beer and does it age well even though he says it is too OLD to be consumed?? Here is the link to the auction, other opinions and ideas about this beer are appreciated. I can't get this beer here in Georgia so let me know what you all think. [:D] http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=563&item=6178849090&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Just paste it or click the link and check the auction out! [?] Also, how much does a 750ml of this beer usually run??? [?]

You probably got the Raison D'Etre, no tthe D'Extra. Check again.

[:D] Yeah, your right, it's the D'Etre. Anyways, what's the difference... and no, I didn't pay anything close to 75 bones for this :)
The 2000 on the package is referring to the year it won the aware that's on the package. The side of the bottle is notched with the bottling date. It is confusing, because the 2000 seems to stand alone on the package, it confused me the first time I saw it too.

LOL, yeah, that would be quite a bit of difference from the beer I tried. :) 20%... geez, that's like hitting the hard stuff
