Happy Cinco De Mayo!
General Beer Discussion by CHANGEUP45
What's everyone got on tap for tonight? I'll probably be doing the usual, going out to Shorty's or Margarita's and drinking muchas cervezas! Any good Mexican beers I should look for?

Celebrating in my own small way today, with takeout Chilaquiles Carne Asada for lunch at work. No cerveza, Im afraid. I miss Mexico. Outside of a couple quick visits to Tijuana, it's been 23 years since I've been to Guadalajara/Manzanillo/Puerto Vallarta and 35 years since Tampico/Veracruz/Merida/Chetumal/San Cristobal de Las Casas/Oaxaca/Mexico. Fond but fading memories!

I have my daughter's track team banquet tonight and they're catering/serving Mexican fare. I'm sure it will not be of the highest caliber, but the time with my daughter (and the rest of my family) will more than compensate. And I have a few Dos Equis in the fridge for afterward.... I once had an awkward moment... just to see what it felt like...

Nothing special tonight since the wife now works swings. But I'm sure we'll wind up at our favorite Mexican place, dining on a recipe straight from Vera Cruz. They have some amazing seafood dishes from that region.

If anything, the Dos Equis commercials are hilarious. I love that campaign. "He wouldn't be afraid to show his feminine side... if he had one." "His mother has a tattoo that says... SON." The Most Interesting Man In The World

CDM here meant people drinking Cornona and limes at the Sierra Nevada Taphouse. That is NOT the way to celebrate independence, people!!!
No problem, then, since Cinco de Mayo is not about independence, either! http://bit.ly/kHOy5D

Hey, heybeerman. By posting this just after midnight, it looks like you also missed the 10th. "I'll have what the gentleman who has completely lost track of time is having." Ha!
