Young's Champion is a light golden refreshing beer, with a citrusy and full fruit flavour. It is brewed from maris otter malted barley from the East of England and Styrian hops from Slovenia, which impart a well-rounded balance of esters and hop character to give a continental-style drinking experience. This immensely satisfying beer also contains live yeast, which adds an extra zest to the taste and a tingle on the tongue.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color ale with a big foamy head with good retention. Aroma of sweet malt with a nice floral aspect. Taste is refreshing with some semi-sweet malt, subtle but noticeable floral hops and a dry finish. By no mean is this a great beer but it is refreshing enough on a hot summer day.

Bottled. Yellow colour with small white head. Honey and citrus in the aroma. Citric taste with hints of hops. Bitter taste with hints of sweetness, in my opinion would be better the otherway around. As it is now it’s a pretty strange combination in taste (but not that bad). The taste was a disappointment compared to the aroma though. Also the beer is very watery.

clear golden colour with a very little foam, citrusy hoppy nose, medium to full body, tart and bitter with a dry and long bitter lemony finish - lively and very interesting

Bottle. Pale straw coloured, almost golden. No head. Slightly hazy. Nicely balanced, hop, malt and fruity aroma. Nice hoppy bitter taste, with underlying malt, plus grapefruit. Some carbonation, with a medium mouthfeel. Crisp and dry, with a sharp bitter finish and pleasant, lingering aftertaste. I like it!
