Brewed initially for export to USA. A lmited amount of kegs were released in NZ as Motueka Warrior (as a part of the annual Motueka/Yakima collaboration with Liberty Brewing) The beer was then brewed for NZ, Aus and Italy under the Digital IPA label. It will be available throughout the southern hemisphere summer of 2011. NZ Bottle: This limited-release India Pale Ale (IPA) is an aggressive wee beast that is dedicated to our friend Joseph Wood of Liberty Brewing and to all those hopheads who love drinking IPA day in, day out. Just as the term digital is all about zeroes and ones, the concept of IPA is all about malts and hops. Enjoy the rich golden malt backbone of Digital while you can... then feel it closing in as the fruity Motueka-grown hops dominate your palate and don’t ever fade away. IPA as it should be. This ale is open source - you may not be able to download the beer itself but feel free to grab the recipe at www.yeastieboys.co.nz.

Clear darker yellow, off white short lasting foam head. Hoppy aroma and bitter taste, not too overwhelming. OK beer still and coming from other side of the world. (Velp 201702)

english style leaning with the malt balance. not really my thing. i dog the hops used, spicy and floral, but the beer is too malty for what i like in the style.

Aroma is VERY hoppy and has a strong note of grapefruit plus a hint of sweet orange. It pours a nice clear amber with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled ivory head. Hoppy flavor has woody and grapefruit notes and a hint of orange. Lively texture has good body and leaves a nice hoppy tingle.
