This stout has eleven varieties of grain in it's bill including a good amount of roasted barley and oatmeal. Slightly carbonated and served through a blender faucet, this ale has a creamy head that lasts to the bottom of the glass. Bittered with Bullion hops and finished with Willamete hops.

This was the first stout that I ever drank....actually had it in a version of a "black and tan" called a "rocky mountain snake bite". The bartender teamed it with a hard cider....what a combo!!! Then me and my buddy drank them all night while playing pool on an "L" shaped pool table. I will never forget my first stout or my first "L" shaped pool table!!!!

Sampler. Like Foam, this is by far my favorite beer at Wynkoop. Pours a dark black. Has a heavy coffee and malty aroma. Heavy in the mouth with a nice bitty flavor. Should have picked up a growler of this stuff.

Sampled at the brewpub. Poured a dark brown/black color with a brown head. Strong lacing. Aroma was strong with a coffee and cream scent. Flavor was also coffee and cream, like an expresso. Not bad at all, just not down my aisle.

Black with a caramel head and as beautiful to look at, as it is to drink. Flavors are smoky, bitter and baking chocolate. Body is heavy, chewy, like a stout should be. This would be the perfect beverage with Icelandic cod. My favorite Wynkoop offering.
