Meet our small batch Belgium-meets-Colorado thriller. It's built with Colorado-grown malts and whole leaf hops, then fermented with a Belgian yeast. Luscious and balanced, it features pale malt flavors, layers of hops from start to finish, and spice notes. 2011 GABF Bronze Medal - Experimental Beer

12 oz can. Pours hazy straw yellow with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is bready malts and spicy, peppery, slightly funky yeast with some grassy hops.
The flavor is sweet bready malts and slight banana with some earthy yeast and some spicy, peppery grassy hops that give good bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a very nice Belgian IPA. I usually don't like this style, but this is more of a Belgian pale with amped up peppery bitterness. A nice surprise from Wynkoop.
