Lovely coppery colour - but with a disappearing head! I can't make my mind up about the nose - it sometimes seems lemony almost, but then that's probably the fault of MY nose rather than the beer. Slightly fizzy in mouthfeel, with more malt than hops.

Aroma is strong and invitingly malty with a touch of citrus and a smoky undertone. Color is a dark amber and clear; it pours with a nice head. Flavor is smooth, very malty, has a little orangy zing and just a touch of hop bitterness. Tasty and pleasant.

Bottled@The 2nd ES/CS Beer Tasting (4.5% version). (thanks J.P.!). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, grass, wood and some mild yeasty and fruity notes as well. Flavour is floral and grassy bitterness along with some caramel and crystal malts. Also some mild yeasty notes. Quite earthy and herbal notes as well.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in a nonick pint an unclear hazy copper-brown coloured Bitter with a two fingers slight beige pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is caramel malts and grassy hops. The flavour is faint caramel malts, toasted malts and faint grassy hops. The mouthfeel is creamy. This light to medium bodied ale has a long hoppy bitter finish. A more pronounced palate as the nose. Overall a decent Bitter.

eh. decent enough, it's true to the style as a classic english bitter, there's just not much to grab one's attention. well balanced but a bit thin, with a slightly bitter and spicy (and delicate) hop presence.

Pours copper amber, head is off tan, rises moderately high, lacing stays on side of glass well. Flavor is somewhat sweet, nicely carbonated, malty flavor that has a pleasantly bitter aftertaste.

Nothing really redeeming to say about this beer other than it looked really nice. The aroma of finger nail polish remover and rubber seemed way out of place. The body of the beer, dark brown, cloudy with a nice 1" off-white head. The flavor starts out rather sweet like dried apricots and just drops off the cliff after that. Nothing lingering, just like drinking water after mid-palate.

Clear dirty copper body with a thick crown leaving behind sticky roapy lacing. Aroma is malty and smooth with elements of strawberry ice cream, rotting leaves, and sweet toffee. Nice taste lightly roasted malts with a crisp bitterness in the finish, that strawberry ice cream I smelt also lingers in the after taste ( I know strawberry ice cream is not correct I just don’t know what ells to call it) Earthy hops can be tasted in every sip making this a descent tasting ESB. I like this beer for the style but I’ll probably never by it again because this style rarely ever interests me.

Pours a cloudy copper/amber with a thin offwhite head that vanishes after a minute or so. Smells slightly fruity with a hoppy note. medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Flavour is slightly fruity with a hoppy bitter follow. After my first sip I found a strange finish, but after letting it sit it seems to get better. Perhaps this beer sat for a while. I'm cutting it close on the best before date of only 2.5 months from now.

Whimsical label. This one pours with a cloudy amber color. The head is weak. I think I blinked and it was gone. Left is an unimpressive soapy ring. The aroma reminds me of a wet blanket that’s been left in an unaerated area. Some sweet malt in that. Low carbonation leaves me feeling a body that’s dropped like a dud. It is a watery tasting, bland ale. Perhaps I got a bad bottle, but this was a big disappointment.
