Winter Warmer. Bah Humbug is a 6% abv brew using not just the traditional malted barley and hops, but also a big sprinkling of cinnamon. The effect of the cinnamon is to give a spicy, almost banana-like flavour as often found on German wheat beers; and this blends with the sweet-honeyed flavours of the Maris Otter barley to create a beer with all the fruit flavours of mince pies, Christmas Pudding and Christmas cake all rolled into one.

Nice looking dark copper colour pour. Unfortunately the head is gone in seconds. Smell has cinnamon and spice. Christmasy flavours of malt, cinnamon and spice. Medium mouthfeel with a dry hoppy finish.

Pours a good size foamy head. Has a coppery amber colour, fairly clear appearance. Good lacing. Aromas of hops and malts, as well as a bit grains. Flavours are very fruity with that slight touch of cinnamon poking through as well as hints of caramel and a hoppy finish. Gives off a tingling mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Pretty easy drinking and perfect for the holidays. :)

a pretty nice traditional winter warmer. medium bodied, malty, with a hint of cinnamon and a hint of hops (more in the aftertaste). nice beer, but there are too many very good winter seasonals to go back to this too often.

Light mahogany with lots of red shining though, very small long lasting skiff. Yummy aroma, cherry, oak, clove, nice malt and some mild alcohol. Very cherry flavor with a creamy malt and finishes with some spice. Like the malty flavor but the beer feels like its watered down a little. Good brew very enjoyable Christmas ale, I’ll look forward to it again next year.

This was a nice seasonal beer to try. The flavour was nice and spicy with coriander and cinnamon tones. It pours a hazy brown colour. The aroma was malt, spice, with a hint of grassy tones. This beer went well with an apple pie I had.

The beer poured a transparent dark brown with a thin light tan coloured head/ The aroma was roasted malt, some hops (the bottle claims that they are the 'choicest' hops), some smoke and some caramel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and medium carbonated. The flavour is roasted caramel malt, some cinnamon, and a decent hop finish.

From a bottle. Pours a clear copper color with an off-white head. Malty aroma with a slight spice undertone. Thin mouthfeel. Flavor is under-whelming. Sweet with a cinnamon/nutmeg undertone. An ok beer. Thanks to Doncock for the bottle.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear amber color ale with a good size foamy head with good retention and very good lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and cinnamon are very well balanced. Taste is again very well balanced between caramel malt and cinnamon with some notes of banana and cloves also discernable. Body is very creamy-like with some great carbonation and a medium full body. I thought the mix between the malt and the cinnamon was very well done in this one.

Pours a darker, clear brown with a light head and average carbonation. Aroma is roasted malts with a hint of spice. Flavor starts off mildly spicy (cinnamon as the brewer suggests?) with a bitter finish that goes away quickly. The entire flavor experience has subtle, malty undertones. Nice beer
