Prepare for a hop-fueled journey with our newest West Coast Double IPA, THE WREN! This bold brew starts with a clean, crisp foundation blend of Weyermann Bohemian Pilsner malt and American 2-row, setting the stage for an explosion of hop aromas and flavors. We layered in classic Simcoe, Chinook, and Cascade hops during the boil, creating a solid backbone of piney, citrusy, and floral notes. The whirlpool additions of Cascade and Amarillo amplify the citrus character with hints of orange and grapefruit zest. Finally, a generous dry-hopping of Mosaic, Citra cryo, and the rare New Zealand Kohia Nelson from @freestylehops delivers a tropical fruit punch of mango, passion fruit, and lime, balanced by subtle white wine and gooseberry notes.
