A west coast-ish IPA. The backbone of Ingenuity, just taken in a different direction to showcase the spectrum of what hoppy beer can look/taste like. Uses the same grain bill of AZ grown @sinaguamalt barley, barke pils, flaked oats & malted wheat. But we add in some Citra early in the boil for some backend bitterness. We also switched up the yeast from our typical English strain used for hazy ipa, to a hybrid pitch of American & English yeast. Fermented cooler. Dropped yeast once it was stable, prior to dry hopping. Then, just like for Ingenuity, we hit it with MOSAIC, IDAHO 7, AMARILLO, CITRA for the dry hop. Not super hazy, but really noticeable body/mouthfeel, a little zip from the bitterness mellows out the sweetness. The aromatics are a super clean, raw expression of the hops. Tons of tropical fruit, berries, limoncello, candied grapefruit. 7.7% abv.

Rated Dec. 2020. Pint can pours with a slightly hazy deep gold body that supports a nice off white head of foam. The aroma offers up mango, pineapple, tangerine and then a guava cantaloupe sensation toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers a soft juicy blend of guava and mango and then running into modestly tangy notes of tangelo and tangerine candy. The tangy and bitterness ends up on the thin side allowing for an unwarranted amount of sweetness to pile up. Still a solid offering.
