Heather Belle is a 6.6% southern hemisphere hopped IPA brewed with German pils, American pale, and just a touch of sweet biscuity honey malt. Flaked red wheat was incorporated in careful amounts to contribute to the soft finish that we strive for in these beers. Whirpool hopped with Galaxy, and dry hopped entirely with Ella. Ella is another Southern Hemisphere hop and happens to be a half-sister to Galaxy. The aroma of this beer is intensely tropical with just enough subtle background aroma of sauvignon blanc grapes & freshly picked rose hips. Heather Belle drinks with a thirst quenching softness and finishes with just the right amount of biscuit like sweetness

Rated Sept. 2018. Pint can pours with a murky opaque straw gold to copper body that supports a nice white head of foam. The aroma offers up grapefruit, a dash of mango and cantaloupe and then lemongrass leading to a mild oat sensation toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers bitter hop notes of grapefruit and a bit of lemon and citrus zest. To midway a modest degree of soft mango and cantaloupe surfaces before bitter lemongrass helps take this into the finish. At the finish is a sense of oat cracker like maltiness. Pretty nice with forward bitter hoppiness.
