Our annual Halloween themed Wally TIPA is back! Just as carelessly dry hopped as ever, still featuring a long list of intense, experimental hop varieties. Saturated with hop flavor!! We brewed this with a simple grain bill of under-modified pils malt, malted white wheat, raw AZ grown Sonoran wheat, and malted oats. Step mashed, boiled, cooled a bit, then hit with a huge whirlpool hop load of Pacific Sunrise, Wakatu, and Yakima Chief Hops experimental cryo hops. Fermented to adequate dryness, then dry hopped with a very high rate of Galaxy, Wakatu, Pacific Sunrise, Mosaic, YCH exp Cryo 2304, Pacific Jade, and Nelson …that’s all. This Wally is a candied grapefruit mango tiki drink bomb. So complex from these hop varieties, working together like a symphony of dankness. IT’S ALIVE

Rated Oct. 2021. Pint can pours with a nice looking totally opaque dull gold to grapefruit juice colored body that supports a full tight near white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up mango, guava, a bit of pineapple and grapefruit. The taste delivers a firm blend of mango, guava and pineapple cut by bitter lime and grapefruit like hoppiness. The bitterness seems almost bracing at times as it creates a pleasing counter to the soft tropical fruity sweetness. Another sip and a bit of floral hops mingles with soft mango and guava underneath the load of hop bitterness.
