We’ve been talking about brewing something up with our friends over at Electric for quite some time and this anniversary presented a perfect opportunity to try our hand at a hazy and very tropical IPA with milk sugar and some special hops we’ve never worked with before, Grüngeist! We started with a split mash bill of 2 Row and Marris Otter followed up with local Grain R&D white wheat and oats for a velvety and hefty mouthfeel. Grüngeist was added to the boil as well in the dry hop alongside Mosaic and Cascade resulting in an incredible nose and flavor. We’re getting huge papaya, dried mango, tangerine, ripe melon with a lovely vanilla cream finish. We loved how this one turned out and will be sure to keep experimenting with this style!

Rated Sept. 2019. Pint can pours with a murky copper gold body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma starts off with soft and pillowy cantaloupe, mango and guava before picking up tangy tangerine and citrus. The taste delivers a blend of soft sweet juicy mango and cantaloupe and papaya that flows quickly into tangy juicy tangerine and tangelo. This offers up a pleasing blend of soft sweet juicy tropical notes and tangy to modestly bitter citrus. I approve. Love it.
