It’s about that time again. Another dependable piece of equipment from when we first opened has finally given up. This lil air compressor did so much for us; operated pneumatic valves, made a lot of noise, powered through long canning run days, made so much damn noise. Some real memories were made with this thing. Farewell friend. Decommissioned Droid is a 8% double IPA with a bit of a shift in direction. We utilized all @weyermann Bohemian floor-malted Pilsner for the base malt, some weyermann extra pale wheat malt, and blended in some flaked oats for good measure. Yep new flavors! Complex & lightly sweet malt character, a nice full wheat profile. Hops are a fun combo too! Chinook in the whirlpool for all those beautiful American hop subtleties. But then we heavily dry hopped with some really nice Azacca & some intensely tropical Idaho 7! We’ve got tons of melon going on here, a bit of pineapple too. Super soft and creamy, these beers from us are heading more so into that direction with every iteration. Overall a nice double IPA that takes a shift in direction thanks to this new (for us!) Azacca hop & the German malts that make up the grain bill.

Rated Sept. 2020. Pint can pours with an opaque slightly glowing dull gold to copper body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up tangelo, mango and then picking up guava toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers a pleasing balance of tangy, juicy, bitter and soft tropical juiciness. It's mango, a bit of cantaloupe with tangy tangerine flowing into softer guava tropical fruitiness toward the end of the experience. Solid brew.
