A brand new DDH DIPA to kick off the start of May (it’s May??). Well we got some very intense Citra cryo hops and we thought this would be a good beer for them. Built around a pils malt base, a hefty addition of malted sonora white wheat from @grainrandd, little bit of raw sonora, and a bunch of flaked oats. Pretty standard, but the use of malted sonora lends to a very easy drinking double ipa. Big whirlpool hop using cashmere—added a bit more of that into the dry hop, and then loaded it with citra cryo hops. Super melon forward, tropical, light oak, dank. 8% abv.

Rated June 2020. Pint can pours with a murky muddy dirty dull gold body that supports light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of peach, mango, tangerine and a bit of sticky cantaloupe. The taste delivers fairly bold and fruity sweet peach and cantaloupe that is at my limit of enjoyment for sweetness. Luckily there's a moderate level of more tangy and juicy mango and tangerine to help create a sense of balance. Pretty nice. It has improved with age. At under two weeks in age the sweetness and peachy cantaloupe was too much.
