We use a large variety of malted grains and hops in this Imperial IPA for incredible complexity. Some IIPAs (sometimes called Double IPAs) use one or two grains, but ours uses over a half-dozen varieties of barley from the US, England, and Germany. Hop bitterness is high enough to satisfy the most discerning “hophead” and, honestly, makes the enamel feel like it is coming off your teeth! This beer is generously dry-hopped in the serving vessel with Centennial, Cascade, and Sorachi Ace hops, lending aromas of tangerines, grapefruit, and lemongrass.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Comes out of the tap a rich, opaque mahogany with a fine-bubble light tan head that hangs around for a bit. Rich, fruity aroma is somewhat sweet but not too sweet, and has woody and malty notes and just a hint of caramel. Flavor is SERIOUSLY hoppy - woody and a little evergreen, just a little bitter, with hints of fruit, malt and caramel. Texture is smooth yet tingly and lively, leaving a woody, fizzy finish. Recommended to all who love hoppy beers!
