Pours an insane amount of foamy bubbly head and has a pale golden appearance. Thick patchy lacing. Quite excessive carbonation. Grassy and citrusy aromas. Flavours are earthy, citrus and floral hops. Mild yeasty notes. Some oranges and coriander in the mix as well. Quite a nice chalky and prickly sensation. Alcohol is very well hidden. Great beer for the price.

Single brown, wine-looking, bottle from the LCBO with a cork and cage. Pours a shinning golden colour with a big soapy head that fizzes away slowly and gives a bit of foam lacing. Mild aromas of spices (cloves, coriander), Belgian Ale yeast, apples and light citrus (oranges mostly). Smooth mouthfeel with a nice balance between oily and creamy. No burning at all and just slight warming. The taste is pretty fruity at first, but does calm down with time. Citrus, apples with the spices and nicely balanced bitterness, which creates a little dryness. Maybe not a full Tripel, but has a lot of the guts of one. A decent brew from the cauldron.

A bottle conditioned triple which pours a pale clouded gold. Massive meringue head. Lively natural carbonation. Aroma is pleasing - spics, apricot, sharp hop tones, earthy mustiness. Flavout is bright, fruity, spritzy, some complexity midnpalate and a long drying sharp hoppy finish with yeasty tones. Really nice drinking.

Eh. Not my favorite tripel. A little on the muddled and sweet side of things. Nothing unpleasant but not nearly enough to take notice og in the style. Slight honey and cereal, and light belgian spice and a hint of twang.

The beer poured a slightly hazed golden colour with a thin rocky white head and plenty of effervescence. The aroma is yeast, light fruits, honey, and grains. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour has honey sweetness, yeastiness, grains, and citrus. Not bad. -

Comes out of the bottle a beautiful clear golden amber with a fairly thick, palest amber head that leaves some generous lacing. Strong aroma is malty and fruity, the latter being equal parts pear and banana, with just a hint of butterscotch. Flavor has malty, sweet fruity - again, pear plus banana - yeasty and butterscotch notes, just a hint of hops and no bitterness. Smooth texture is a bit syrupy, fairly fizzy, leaving a nice fruity and yeasty finish. Put a spell on you indeed! Drat, I should have drunk this on Halloween.

A bit of a fall/halloween novelty purchase... not a great beer. A lot of yeast and alcohol in the aroma and flavor... a bit of a put-off. A tad on the sweet side for me.

Just a few steps better than the last Beligan I had before this, I'm usually not a huge, huge fan of tripel's and harsh, biting tripel's like this usually don't chage that. Aroma is winey, crackers, bready with some white grape juice and alcohol. Slighly phenolic as well. The carbonation seems to amplify the spicy character of this beer, and I've never been a fan of that particular flavor profile/mouthfeel combo. Citrusy, honeyish, burnt crackers and alcohol also show up. Decent, but I'm not really a fan of this Steenberge line-up of beers and....meh....pass. -

Nice. Pried off the cork with nutcrackers to avoid putting a hole in the ceiling. Pours amberish yellow with a generous head. Mouthfeel is sweet yet peppery, highly carbonated. Flavor is yeasty, sweet, peppery, sweet fruit, and a whole lot more. Very much a saison in style to me. Of note: I think the over-carbonation gave me a violent case of hiccups, but it tastes good enough to let it go :)

Aromas of yeast, some fruity notes with a touch of malt. Nice appearance with a thick frothy cap, slightly murky orange body. Flavors are subdued with alcohol, spicy yeasts, and sweet malts, with a slightly dry hop finish. Overall it was a drinkable, and not overbearing as some tripels.
