Owners Jerry and Bertha Miller and Brewer Scott Butts invite you to become a part of today's brewing revival. This is what beer used to be - local, fresh, and distinctive. Below is a list of our beers, a brief description of their flavors, and some notes on the ingredients used to make each one. Harbor Lights Kolsch Style Very pale in color, aromatic with spicy noble hops, and a palate that begins with a slightly sweet entry, blends in to hop flavors and mores on to a dry clean finish. One of the few "kolsch" (Cologne-style) beers brewed in America. Our version is made authentic by the kind gift of yeast from Cologne's renowned Paffgen Brewery. It was awarded a Silver Medal in the Kolsch Style category at the 1997 Great American Beer Festival. Original gravity: 1.048; Alcohol by weight: 4.0%. Grains: Premium pale malted barley, malted white wheat; Hops: German Perle, German Tettnang. Hefe-Weizen Very pale wheat ale cloudy with tangy (and healthful) brewers yeast. Light-bodied and refreshing, a traditional South-German favorite. We are one of the few North American breweries using a true German Weissebeir yeast. Original gravity: 1.048; Alcohol by weight: 4.0%. Grains: Premium pale malted barley, Northwest malted wheat; Hops: Perle, Tettnang or Northern Brewer. Bohemian Pilsener A classic pils matured on a Czech lager yeast which produces a soft palate billowing with luscious malt and hop flavors. Dry-hopped with imported Saaz (Zatec) hops. It was awarded a Silver Medal in the European Pilsener category at the 1996 Great American Beer Festival. Original gravity: 1.050; Alcohol by weight: 4.2%. Grains: Premium pale malted barley; Hops: Mount Hood, Saaz. Nut Brown Ale Dark brown with ruby highlights, mild aromas of chocolate and grain, a semi-sweet palate with notes of roasted malt, and a rounded finish. A flavorful beer but low in both calories and alcohol. It is our version of an English Brown Ale and was awarded a Silver Medal in that category at 1992's Great American Beer Festival, our country's only national beer competition. Original gravity: 1.040; Alcohol by weight: 3.0% (3.8% ABV). Grains: Premium pale malted barley, malted wheat, chocolate malt, crystal malt; Hops: Fuggle, Willamette.
