What could possibly be better than the combination of deep roasted malts, coffee, oak, and a smooth, creamy finish? Nitrode is a nitogenated version of our Ode to Mercy brown ale, that overflows with bold flavors woven into a very balanced and approachable beer that finishes with creamy lingering hints of oak, coffee (specially blended by Roswell, GA’s Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Co.), and roasted goodness. Bright citrus hops peek through from time to time, adding additional layers of complexity. Suggested food pairings: Barbecued chicken, Kielbasa, prime rib, cheesecake, English Cheddar Cheese, pate, and Munster cheese.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours barely translucent chocolate brown with a creamy, fine-bubbled Guinness-like light tan head. Aroma presents woody, bourbon, toasty malt and subtle caramel tones. Flavor accents the woody, malty and bourbon notes, while caramel and a bit of fruit stay in the background but male their contribution. Smooth mouthfeel has firm body and plenty of good fizz. Sing a Nitro Ode to joy!
