Our Happiest Hour Exploration Project is laser-focusing on hops in a four IPA series we’re calling Next Big Thing. Using hops so new they are called only by a number, Brewmaster Eric Johnson has created a base IPA using 100% Riverbend Malt House and is double-dry hopping each one with a single new hop to show off the unique character of each. #472 has notes of bright lemon and fresh lime leaves married with the elegant muskiness of Sauvignon Blanc grapes and a hint of Herbs de Provence. Notes of orange marmalade carry through the long finish.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
Pours slightly hazy topaz with a thick and frothy ivory head. Aroma starts with herbal and resiny hop tones, and adds tangy, juicy grapefruit and orange as you zero in. Flavor provides woody, bitter hops with herbal, orange, fresh malt and subtle grapefruit notes. Texture delivers good body and peppy fizz, and a piney finish. Always be ready for the Next Big Thing - especially if it's beer.
