Comes out of the tap a clear golden amber wit ha fine-bubbled pale amber head. Rich and hoppy aroma is strongly evergreen. Strongly hoppy flavor fills the mouth with evergreen so it is like drinking a pine tree. There is a subtle hint of citrus. Thick, full-bodied, fizzy, edgy texture leaves behind a strongly hoppy tingle. This beer is a must for hops lovers!

Didn't care for this one. Started off average and got worse. Spicy aroma nice enough but there's not much to it. Too bland. Clear Amber. Flavor less boring but still boring. Thinking there may be a little age, but they don't date.

Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, rye, citrus fruit, and earthy hop aromas. Taste is much the same with spicy rye and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel.

12oz bottle, dated 9/27/11. Pours a slightly hazy copper amber with a medium creamy off white head that goes to a thin film and laces the glass.
The aroma is tropical fruits and rye with some bready malt.
The flavor is sweet tropical fruits and some cardboard notes with some slightly spicy rye and a medium grassy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.
Overall, an OK IPA. The flavors didn't mesh well to me and it seemed slightly off. -

Another solid beer from Widmer. Pours a dark copper with an ample white head. Plenty of malt to balance out the piney and grapefruity hops. Not as much rye in the taste as I would have liked but, nonetheless, a quality IPA.

Sampled on 12/24/2011. This IPA pours a medium to dark amber brown color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white rocky foamy head with nice retention and good lacing. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet, piney and grapefruity hops. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and piney. A touch of rye. Decent carbonation. A medium to high bitterness IPA. Nice solid IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.
