500 ml capped bottle.Poured in a Bavarian Seidla a clear and ruby-brown coloured Dark Lager with a one finger light beige, dense and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.Sustained carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, coffeish notes,a touch of barnyard. The flavour is toasted and caramel malts, brown sugar, bready notes, dried fruits, plums and nuts. The mouthfeel is creamy, quite thick and a bit sticky. The texture is watery. This medium bodied D L has a dry toasted malts finish. This easy drinkable Dark Lager is not only rare, it is a good Dark Lager from a very old, founded in 1052, Franconian Klosterbrewery. In fact it is more an Amber as a Dark Lager !

This is actually kellerbier, but since there is no such type... Color is nicely amber brownish. Much foam, but it dissapears quite fast. Aroma is flowery, maybe there is a hint of a smokeyness, but not much. Taste is a bit sweet. Aftertaste is round and maybe with a little hint of caramel in the end.
