This deep copper colored strong ale is the Iron Rail on steroids. The Honey Malt is increased 3fold, with twice the hops as the Iron rail, it clocks in at about 100 IBUs! (International Bittering Units) Be careful its addictive. Aroma: A hop menagerie with Intense malt sweetness. Tasting/Flavor: Hops like silk. Finish: Endless hop layers and thanks to the honey malt, not strongly bitter.

This poured a dark orange with a white head. Aroma contains some citrus, perfume, and alcohol. The flavor contains some oranges, pine, lemons, and grapefruit. Some sweetness is present. This is one big badass beer. Aftertaste is bittersweet and boozy. Overall kick arse.

I sampled this at party last weekend. Incredibly well balanced. Just the right blend of hops and malt. The mouthfeel was smooth with just enough fizz to enhance the experience. Dark copper color with beige head. In you get to Ashville check Wedge out.
