"Pivo" is Czech for beer and Vyskovske brews and excellent premium pilsner. Vyskovsje brewing dates to the 1400's and the present brewery was built in 1860. We've withstood the Hussite wars, The Hapsburgs, the 30 Years War and good old Napoleon. Everyone came and went, but this primo Czech pilsner remains. Characteristics include a dazzling color, light hoppy aroma and the wonderful slight bitterness of a premium pilsner. Best served at a temp of 50 degrees F (8-10c). Enjoy!

All-n-all a very decent beer. Not the best but it still goes down good. Very very slight metallic taste. Slight skunky aroma. I will drink again but not too often.

Bottled (as Vyskovské Czech Beer). Deep golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is sweet malts, hay, some hops as well as mild notes of fruits. Flavour is quite much the same, a very bulk feeling to it.

A random find in my neck of the woods. A cloudy yellow appearance with a white head. The aroma was quite floral with some grassy notes and lemons. The flavor was slightly bitter but mostly malty with some creamed corn, lemons, and herbal notes. This one reminds me of Budvar which I like. Overall a nice pils!

The golden hue of this brew wasn't too bad looking. There was a slight head that disappeared quite quickly. The aroma was very skunky and not very inviting. The taste certainly matched the aroma as it had a bitter/medicine-like after taste. I wouldn't recommend this nor would I try it again.
