Pours warm coffee brown with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Robust aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, smoky wood, and molasses with an earthy underpinning. Flavor echoes the roast barley, chocolate and molasses tones of the aroma but with a little less smokiness, and tosses in a little roast coffee and just a whisper of anchovy. Some smoky and slightly bitter hops pop up in the finish. Mouthfeel has firm, viscous body and a strong, persistent fizz. Get deep into this cocoa and savor the Victory!
