This ale has a blend of 4 malts including Chocolate, Crystal and Honey Malt and then we added ginger, cloves and cinnamon into the kettle to get the full flavours and aromas of gingerbread. Dough Head is unfiltered, amber in colour with some good malt body with a little sweetness. It is lightly hopped which really allows the spices to come through in the nose and it has a unique lingering warmth from the cloves.

Pour of clear, dark copper under a creamy ivory head. Aroma was nicely spiced, with what I cannot tell. Nutmeg, mayb and I guess some cloves as per the label. Aroma also featured some dark fruit. Really nice mouthfeel, smooth and rich. Flavour was as good as the nose, again with the spices. Bitter note at the finish.
