Tasted in brewpub 2007 version. This bock pours a medium amber color from the tap. Aroma is malty and sweet with a bunch of spices and herbs. There is also a touch of honey. A medium to full bodied bock. The malts are caramel and sweet, The hops are grapefruity and a touch floral. This is a very aggressively hopped bock. The spices and hops mix really well with the malts. There is a lot going on in this one, the complexity is very high, but it’s a very easy drinking beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

NorCal December 07 - Steve breaks out this beauty which is made for the Winter season and it's really tasty. There's nothing small about this beer. Huge notes of hops (grassy, piney and a touch catty) in the nose and a nice malt bill keeps everything in check. Flavors are spicy, a touch of coriander and ginger, juicy hops and a nice fruity sweetness that hides the alcohol content. Good drinking.
