MASSIVE flavor for a dry irish. Very impressive, and one of the smoothest beers ever. Tasted at the pub...now I'm 3 hours away and wish i could get my hands on more. 5/10-not as good a couple years later, but still pretty darn good for a dry, sweet stout. not head and shoulders above all their other beers as it was b4, though.

Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This stout pours a deep black color from the tap at the brewpub. Medium sized beige foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee and roasty. A medium bodied stout. The malts are chocolate and coffee. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. It’s a large stout without being over the top. Nice balance. Touch of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and somewhat roasty.

Simply a fantastical beer. It's huge, whithout being huge. An aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, a bit of licorice and molasses. Appearance is a deep black with some chocolately brown edges. Flavor is nicely balanced with a roasted malts, chocolate bitterness, and molasses. A very nice beer.
