Our IPA will appeal to the beer enthusiast who desires a bold, deep and bitter ale. With a coppery color indicative of a traditional IPA, Upslope India Pale Ale has a complex malty character and is more well-balanced than most IPA’s, but still offers that bitterness that IPA lovers seek.

Pours a clean orange-ish/ red color with a light tan red. In the aroma, gritty pine hops and maltiness to it. In the taste, pines hops and a balanced sweet to dry malt backing. A smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a dry faint pine hop aftertaste. More like a pale than an IPA though.

It pours a burnt orange with thick and frothy orange-white head and some fairly copious lace. A rich aroma of caramel malts, light hops, lime/citrus, light pine, and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is too thin and watery. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, citrus, bread and yeasty, and spiciness. It tastes good, but that mouthfeel needs some work.

Sampled on 9/20/2010. This India Pale Ale pours a medium dark amber color from a 12oz can. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is caramel, bready and fruity. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are bready, fruity and caramel. The hops are herbal and floral. Decent carbonation. The malt and hop profile is much more an English Bitter than an IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

another nice canned IPA from CO. This one pours quite dark, like a Gordon...red. maltier and spicier than i usually prefer in IPAs but i can't really complain, this was some tasty stuff.

12 oz can. Pours a dark amber with a creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is caramel malts, a little mint and some grassy bitterness and some vegetal notes.
The flavor is sweet caramel malts and some fruits and mint with a decent grassy burnt bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with good carbonation.
Overall, an OK IPA. I didn't much care for the flavors - lots of weird off notes.
