Pours out a extremely darl brown liquid with a massive foamy tan head. The aroma is of a great big pumpkin pie. The mouthfeel is really thick. The taste is outstanding. Full of spices and malt. Excellent pumpkin beer.

Burnished amber body, the cap started out thick and fizzy but quickly settled into a thin slightly brownish ring. Aromas of pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon and as it warms the oak comes out and some hints of syrup. Flavor is stiff with the booze leaping out, subsiding momentarily and letting a little pumpkin and spices out. slight bitter almost metallic presence in the finish. The overwhelming alcohol just kills something that could have been pretty good.

Sam's contribution to the Hootenanny After Party tasting. Light terra cotta colored pour, tight ample off white head, nice lacing. Ample spiced aroma but more of the roasted squash/pumpkin aroma than many pumpkin ales, very welcoming, then some slight vanilla and woodsiness. Near perfect lightly spiced pumpkin flavor, nicely offset by the light woodsy flavor and very light vanilla. One of the best pumpkin beers I've tried in awhile. Worthy. Thanks Sam.

Brownish/orange pour with a generous soapy white head. Ginger, cinnamon, and all-spice battle with baked pumpkin as this wafts from my snifter. It's very inviting for a fall pumpkin ale. Massive alcohol up front is cut with roasted pumpkin, caramel, vanilla, and oak. The oak aging really helps cut the high ABV and takes this to another level.

Malty aroma has a firm pumpkin tone and some cinnamon, plus an undertone of oak. Pours a slightly hazy sienna with a light buff head. Flavor has an oaky overtone plus notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, malt and caramel. Lively, fizzy texture has a decent amount of body. A bit spendy, but tasty and enjoyable.

A delicious if overpriced rich and smooth pumpkin ale. Smells of real pumpkin, not just spices, though they are nice as well. Oak imparts a little flavOr and a bit of smoothness to this rich beer. Creamy full body was the beers strength, but $14 is a bit much...

750ml bottle. Pours a light ruby brown with a big creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is more subdued than expected - some pumpkin spices with some vegetal metallic notes.

The flavor is sweet chocolate malts with lots of spices and decent bitterness in the finish. The alcohol is well hidden. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK pumpkin. It's subdued - even though it's 10+%. The spices seem a bit muddled and it's overly sweet to my tastes.
