Pours out almost solid black with a thick lingering head. The aroma is of faint roasted malt. The mouthfeel is smooth like a milk stout. The taste is of very light coffee and chocolate. It's not complex but good for drinking a multiple drinking seson.

Pretty solid black lager. Very malt forward with some light roast and hops present. Slightly dry with a little caramel as well. Pretty good version of a hardto nail style.

One of the nicer ones that I had in this style. Light but has some decent chocolate malt flavor in there. Good balance with just enough hop to offset. Tastes like you are almost drinking a stout, but feels light a light lager so can drink a lot of them. Only sampled a single, but I would get more of this.... especially when I want dark beer in the summer.

A deep reddish tinged brown colored beer with a big frothy textured beige head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. Splotches of light film and thick ringlet are left. Burnt malt in the nose. Follow that with some chocolate in the tasting. Loght-medium bodied. And very good.

Black on color with a reddish-brown hue when held up to a bright light. Poured with a huge bubbly beige foam that drapes the glass with sticky lace. Earthy dark roasted and burnt malt aromas with hints of coffee and dark chocolate in the background. Medium bodied and smooth. Bitter burnt malt flavor up front that tapers through the middle to dark roasted malt and coffee flavors to the end. Better than expected, a nice surprise from Uinta.

Hearty lager indeed....would consider it a porter if served blindly. Large foamy tan head, heavy lacing all on a dark brown body. Chewy roasted malts with complimenting accents of nuts, toast, and mild berries. Clean and medium bodied. Very nice.

Pours a dark brown, just about black with a soapy off white froth and leaves plenty of lace on the glass. The aroma is chocolate like malty aroma, bringing back memories of malt chocolate. The taste is roasted, dark malt flavor with some smoke and bakers chocolate and a mild tea like hop with a complimentary bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, well carbonated, smooth, full of flavor.

Strong, smoky aroma has tones of licorice and charred wood. It pours a deep sable a whisker above black with a decent tan head. Flavor is woody and smoky, with hints of licorice and coffee. Texture is smooth and fizzy but body is average. Overall it's so-so, but worth sampling.
